Katie’s Woods Park
Welcome to Katie’s Woods Park
Lake Grapevine, Texas
Park Hours: 5 am to 10 pm
Fee: No fee required for park day-use, but boat ramp fee required if launching a boat
Katie’s Woods Park is a heavily treed park and sits along the southeastern shore of Lake Grapevine. There are only about ten or so picnic tables available so on weekends you have to get there early if you want a table. This park is very popular because of its location.
Katie’s Woods Park is free for day use visitors. There is a $5 fee required for use of the boat ramp. There are also public restrooms available within the park.
This is one of the smaller parks on the lake, but also one of the most popular. There is plenty of shade in this park on those warm summer days. The park is also located just across a small cove from the Glass Cactus nightclub at the Gaylord Texan.
Amenities of the park include:
- Restrooms
- Boat ramp
- Parking
- Trails
- Covered picnic tables
- Fishing areas
- Small beach / swim area
There are also some great walking and hiking trails around Katie’s Woods Park. These trails lead down to some rocky cliffs that overlook the lake. These areas are also great for doing some bank fishing. If you like to explore, you will enjoy the trails next to Katie’s Woods Park.
The hike and bike trails now extend for two miles.
This is one of our favorite parks on the lake. Enjoy!
